I had two. The first one arrived dead and would not turn on, so I sent it back. I received my second laser, and it turns on, but the laser keeps making loud noises (crunching sounds) and bangs against the housing when sent to home. The laser goes toward the front instead of the back of the unit. The camera can’t be calibrated due to too much noise. Also, the USB stick, which contains all the firmware update files, Win & Mac drivers, and LightBurn software, is full of viruses. I packed the unit up and sent videos and photos to support. They are telling me these issues can be fixed and advised me to do a Zoom call with them. I am hoping they can explain via email how to fix the problem. I am waiting for support to get back to me; otherwise, I will send it back. If decide to send the laser back may go with WeCreat, they came out with a 40watt. WeCreat is all plug and play. I was hoping LaserMatic was plug and play but it is pain what I been through. I will update my status.

That red looks like you could use more red dye but maybe add a few drops of black to darken it just a little? The grape and the navy blue might need a brighter background, maybe stain it white or light grey first and then do grape or navy blue? I don't know if that would work, but I might try it myself.

I would like you to tell us which CO2 laser you like best and why. Are there any brands of CO2 lasers you would not purchase and why? Many of us are on a journey similar to yours wherein we started with diode lasers and are moving up. But there are so many choices. So it would be interesting to know how you chose the lasers you did and what’s good/bad about them.

Use artist oil paint mixed with mineral spirits. Make any color wood stain you like and it will be far more lightfast.

Might want to explain copyright use with all those logos. Get caught selling a copyrighted logo and the fines are not cheap.

Does it make a lot of noise when running? Could I do it in my apt? Lmao

One thing I don't see being talked about on The roly Automation is Spot size. lasermatic spot size for the 20w laser is 0.24 x 0.12 ,But wecreat 20w is 0.08*0.10 mm ,and x tool is even smaller at 0.08*0.06 mm. Would this larger spot size on the lasermatic affect engraving quality ? Reply

have you tried that with an oil based poly, for outdoor use projects? i can only assume if you let the wood dry for a couple days, the oil based poly would adhere well enough?

When using alcohol, I think you have to mix with water first because the dye will dissolve in water and then you mix in some alcohol. Idk, alcohol _might_ make the water evaporate quicker but water is certainly a necessity, at least as a carrier.

I am using the Longer Ray5 10 W laser and I want to do Slate coasters. I saw a gentleman on of course RUclips who was using the same machine but only a 5 W. I was wondering if you knew that if mine would do of course the same thing but twice as fast? He could do a finish one in 25 min. I want to know if I could do 2 in the same amount of time?

Hey Great video! I have an antique statue on the way and I THINK it's teak wood. I was already considering sending it down and staining it but then I thought about using a leather dye my question is this statue which is about 13 inches and weighs about 4 lb would it be okay to brush it on or is it possible to make a bath and dip it in the dye?
